Why is it important to clean your roof?
We assess the roof covering, condition and access before deciding what cleaning is appropriate. Cleaning can remove moss, algae and surface staining on suitable roofs. Loose moss can also collect in gutters; ask which gutter clearance and downpipe checks are included. Cleaning does not repair existing defects.
What are the benefits to having your roof cleaned?
Cleaning can improve the appearance of a suitable roof and remove accumulated organic growth. The result depends on the covering, condition and staining. It does not make old tiles new, repair leaks or add a waterproof coating.
Are your cleaning methods safe?
The method, equipment and any treatment are selected for the surface, its condition and access. We explain the proposed work and relevant precautions before quoting. Tell us about existing damage, leaks, coated finishes and access restrictions so these can be assessed separately.
How often should exterior surfaces be cleaned?
There is no fixed timetable for every property. Surface material, shade, moisture, nearby trees and the amount of growth or staining all matter. We can discuss appropriate maintenance after assessing the property; there is no fixed moss-free guarantee.
